“A Journey of Faith”

St. Patrick’s Parish was founded in 1953 thanks to the pioneer families who courageously addressed the need for the development of a parish in the south end of Sudbury. Father Philip Theriault was the founding pastor. Sixty plus years later, it continues to be a thriving faith community with more than 1462 registered families. In addition to the large number of parishoners, it also encompasses a large physical area, making it one of the largest parishes in the Diocese of Sault Ste. Marie. Father James Hutton is the current pastor. The people of St. Patrick’s are a very active, committed Christian presence in the city of Sudbury and Diocese of Sault Ste. Marie. Their objectives are clearly outlined in St. Patrick’s spirited Mission Statement:

“We are called by God, to continue the mission of Jesus, through vibrant worship, radical witness and committed service.”

A strong presence in the south end of the city of Sudbury.
