Adult Initiation

(Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)

A.   The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults models the practice of the early Church in      which unbaptized individuals, after a lengthy period of spiritual preparation, were received into the Church at the Vigil of Easter through Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist.  Through weekly gatherings, those who have not been baptized come together for prayer, catechesis (teaching), reflection and sharing to discover where God is calling each individual.

B.   We also welcome adults baptized in the Catholic Church who seek to complete their initiation through Confirmation after some preparation.

C.  We also welcome adults who have been baptized in another Christian community, not in union with the Catholic Church.  Their initiation is completed through a Profession of Faith and Confirmation and some preparation.
